Escaped Albino in KZN

The police officers are still investigating a case of kidnap of an albino.
Unknown crew in KZN kidnapped an albino so that they would kill him and use him to make medicine. It is alleged that the man managed to escape. (from SABC news. www.sabcnews.co.za )

I never thought that discrimination against colour of skin still exists. Albinism is not a choice. Albinos have the same minds and feelings like us. How can people choose to use them as their experiments. How are they supposed to live knowing that their lives are in danger. This is not the first incidence (probably not the last) on Albinos, people make albinos laughing stock although they know that they did not chose to be like that.

It seems like apartheid still exists indirectly. Just because people are born with different characteristics that does not mean we have to laugh at them or treat them bad. The community and government need to work together and raise awareness. I also think that also in parliament albinos have to be visible in order for people to see that albinism is not a disease.

  2. Treatment of people should not depend on the colour pigment, even though Albinos don't have the melanin, they still deserve to be treated as other human beings.

  4. I really don't get the reason why we treat each other so badly. ...people treat albinos like animals just because of their skin colour. ..what did they do to deserve this?

  5. Eish!
Now it's God who needs to intervene. The government itself already have laws and stuff to deal with these typpa doings but people don't consider those laws, they just do for as long as what they do does not hurt them.

  6. Those people still need to be educated about albinism. Albinison is just a condition and people who are affected are not of some particular race or what. They should be treated with the same respect s others.

  7. Nothing will change for as long as we still blame apartheid for such incidents! It takes a community to overcome such matters through working together.

  8. The community needs to work hand on hand fighting for what is right, I think they have to tell everyone that skin is the same in all aspects, educated students need to educate others about the importance of love.
